Physical therapy on Long Island, built around you. At Thrive Health, your sessions are personal, focused, and hands-on. Your therapist takes the time to understand what is really driving your pain or injury, then builds a plan that resolves it rather than just quieting the symptom for a day. We treat patients across Smithtown, East Setauket, Sayville, and Westhampton Beach, and we verify and bill your insurance for you.

We practice differently from the high-volume clinics. Your therapist works with you directly, gives you their attention, and adjusts your plan visit by visit as you progress. Skilled aides assist with your exercises and program so your time is used well, while your therapist stays focused on the hands-on work that drives results. It is a boutique approach to a clinical problem: fewer patients at once, more attention on you.
We keep our schedule lighter than a high-volume clinic, so recovery gets the time it actually takes. The result is a plan built around the root cause of your problem and a team that knows your case, your goals, and your progress.
You do not need a doctor's note to begin physical therapy with us. Call the office nearest you, describe what is going on, and we will book you an evaluation. If a referral does turn out to be needed, we have medical staff in every office who can handle it, so you are not sent away to chase paperwork before you can get relief.
We check your insurance before your first visit and tell you what to expect, so nothing about the bill is a surprise. Call us or use the Request an Appointment form and we will get you scheduled.
Physical therapy addresses the cause of pain, injury, and lost movement rather than quieting the symptom for a day. Our licensed physical therapists work alongside your physician on a plan built to restore movement, build strength, and reduce pain. We accept most major insurance plans, including the Empire Plan/NYSHIP, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Medicare, and UnitedHealthcare, and other plans that have out-of-network coverage. Not every plan covers every service, and coverage depends on medical necessity. We verify your benefits before you start, bill on your behalf, and you pay your co-insurance.

Recovery takes the time it takes, and it should not be rushed. Our licensed physical therapists work on the root of the pain or injury, give you their attention through the visit, and adjust the plan as you get stronger. Patients across Suffolk County stay with us because the care is one-on-one and the plan is clear.

We treat a wide range of pain, injury, and post-surgical conditions, including neck and back pain, arthritis, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, headaches, balance and vertigo (BPPV), and fibromyalgia, along with injury recovery and rehab for rotator cuff issues, ACL, MCL, and meniscus injuries, fractures, sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, and work or overuse injuries. If you are not sure whether physical therapy is right for your situation, call us and we will help you find out.
No. You do not need a doctor’s referral to begin. Under New York’s direct access law, you can be evaluated and start treatment without a referral for up to 30 days or 10 visits, whichever comes first. If a referral turns out to be medically necessary for your situation, we have medical staff on premises to handle it. A few cases, such as Medicare, no-fault, and workers’ compensation, do require a referral up front, and we will tell you clearly where you stand when you call.
